Marcel Nazabal Amores

Bio
Marcel is an evidence-based health researcher with a diverse background in science, music, and entrepreneurship. Since his early undergrad years he saw a strong connection between art expressions, creativity, and science. His current research focuses in integrating knowledge regarding the anxiolytic effects of non-pharmacological interventions, specifically music and music therapy, during medical and dental procedures. This work is being conducted in collaboration with Dr. Gilbert from the School of Health Sciences at Dalhousie. It is of crucial importance to assess and systematically review research to move knowledge into action, providing evidence-based facts to decision makers for the development and improvement of our health programs. He is Faculty at the Halifax Institute of Traditional and Early Music and hosts a Podcast where he interviews and explores the creation process in local artists and scientists.
